The written examination is scheduled to be held on June 8, 9 and 10 across 1,183 examination centres in Uttar Pradesh for recruitment to 32,679 posts. More than 28 lakh candidates have applied for 32,679 vacancies in the Civil Police and equivalent categories, with examinations scheduled at 1,183 centres spread across all 75 districts of the state.
Chairman of the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, SB Shiradkar, issued detailed instructions regarding security arrangements, candidate verification procedures, prevention of unfair means and strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) formulated for the examination.
In a technological measure aimed at preventing impersonation, every candidate will undergo Aadhaar verification and 100% e-KYC authentication through iris-based biometric verification systems installed at examination centres.
The Board also clarified that the frisking and verification of women candidates will be carried out exclusively by police personnel of the same gender inside designated enclosures to ensure privacy and dignity.

Candidates have already been instructed to report to examination centres carrying only their admit cards, Aadhaar cards and blue or black ballpoint pens. They have also been advised to avoid wearing shoes and socks and, as far as possible, arrive in slippers to facilitate smooth security screening.
Authorities were directed to ensure that Meta smart glasses, smart pens, Bluetooth-enabled gadgets and similar electronic devices are not allowed inside examination centres under any circumstances.
The Board stressed that mobile phones, Bluetooth devices and any electronic communication equipment must not reach examination halls.
