AKTU degrees to come with QR codes

) at the convocation scheduled in January next year will have a 'Quick Response (QR) code' facilitating their easy verification.

AKTU will also be the first state university to provide students with the facility of '

Digi lock

' - the digital locker for all the documents like marksheets, degrees and migration, after the convocation. A student woulud be able to access his/her document digitally by entering the ID and password of their locker.

Examination controller JP Pandey said the degrees to be awarded could be verified with the help of the QR code.

"With the 'Quick Response' code, the degree will facilitate verification from anywhere and anytime. On scanning the QR code with a smartphone or a scanner, one would get a link, clicking on which would provide access to one's degree," said Pandey. If an employee wants to verify a student's degree, he can do so with the help of the QR code. He said the preliminary scanning of the QR code would show the name of the student, his division, enrolment number and roll number.

A link directing to AKTU official web page would also be provided.

The Digi Lock would keep safe all the document, including marksheets, migrations and degree for students. The documents will be digitally available.
