NEW DELHI: Akbar Taj, a visually impaired Muslim bhajan singer and poet from Madhya Pradesh, expressed his joy on receiving an invitation to the Ram temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya. The ceremony is scheduled to take place on January 22.
Taj, 42 years old and a resident of Hafla Beepla village in Khandwa district, said that he will be travelling to Ayodhya on January 14 to recite his poems dedicated to Lord Ram.
Taj expressed his gratitude for being invited to Ayodhya, especially on behalf of Ram ji Bhadracharya, a Hindu spiritual leader. He mentioned that despite having other commitments, he willingly chose to prioritize this event.
Having been writing and singing poems and bhajans dedicated to Lord Ram since his childhood, Taj comes from a financially disadvantaged background and resides in a humble kutcha house.
