Lucknow: The role of artificial intelligence in anaesthesiology was key point of discussion during the 27th foundation day of SGPGI's department of anaesthesiology, celebrated here on Saturday, an official spokesperson said.
Chief guest head of the department of cardiac anaesthesia at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, Prof Praveen Kumar Neema, delivered the Prof Soma Kaushik Oration on the occasion and shared his experiences of the evolution of anaesthesia practices.

Several lectures by eminent faculty members for the postgraduate students and delegates were also organised. Prof Sujeet Kumar Singh Gautam elaborated on the role of artificial intelligence in anaesthesiology. Dr Tapas Singh discussed ethical issues in patients in intensive care and anaesthesia. Prof Puneet Goyal talked about the future of anaesthesiology to provide new insights in the field for the delegates. Dr Chetna Shamsherry talked about the importance of work-life balance for doctors.
