Lucknow: Three policemen, including SHO Mohanganj, were placed under suspension on Sunday for laxity in duty after a 62-year-old man was killed over property related dispute in Amethi on Saturday, police said.
The victim— Hausla Prasad, 62, of Gulabganj village in Mohanganj, was allegedly thrashed by a rival group from the same village on Friday. He succumbed to his injuries on Saturday.

Senior police officials visited the spot and arrested six accused named by the victim’s family.
Tiloi circle officer Ajay Kumar Singh told TOI that SHO Mohanganj Brijesh Singh, sub-inspector Rajesh Kumar and constable Ankit Kumar were placed under suspension for laxity.
“A tension between the victim and accused identified as Rajaram Prasad over property was brewing from a long time and the local SHO, beat incharge were aware of it. Despite that no action was taken by them,” said Singh.
On Friday, the accused along with his five aides Suresh Verma, Rakesh Prasad, Suraj Yadav, Siddhinath Kumar and Sunil Kumar reached the residence of victim and assaulted him brutally and fled. He was rushed to district hospital where he died during treatment. His kin later staged a protest demanding action.
Senior officers along with DIG Faizabad Range reached the spot and asured the family of action.
