Senior TDP leader and former legislator Yarapathineni Srinivasa Rao alleged on Tuesday that YSRCP government was trying to ascertain that party supremo Chandrababu Naidu is away from the public till the completion of next assembly elections.

TDP leader Adari Kishore Kumar staged a protest against the arrest of party president N Chandrababu Naidu inside Visakhapatnam airport and an aircraft at the airport today. He was detained by police.

TDP's legal cell moved the Andhra Pradesh high court challenging the arrest of party chief Chandrababu Naidu and questioning the applicability of Section 409. The court accepted the petition and asked the govt to file a counter. The HC to hear the matter tomorrow.

Andhr Pradesh BJP vice-president and former MLA P Vishnu Kumar Raju said that the judgment on TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu needed to be reviewed by the high court's internal committee. He requested the high court judges to form a committee on the proceedings and judgement given by the ACB court judge.

TDP News: All 19 TDP MLAs under house arrest for past 72 hours

The state government has placed all 19 TDP legislators in Andhra Pradesh under house arrest for the past 72 hours. Police rounded off the houses of all MLAs and senior TDP leaders from the early hours of Saturday, soon after the arrest of party chief and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu in Nandyal. Even when Naidu was brought from Nandyal and produced in the court on Sunday, his MLAs and other leaders were not allowed to move out of their houses. The situation continued on Monday, when TDP gave a call for statewide bandh in protest against Naidu’s arrest and his subsequent 14-day judicial remand.

The court will pass orders on Naidu’s plea on Tuesday. The CID also filed a petition seeking his custody, which is yet to be heard.
