MALAPPURAM: The mystery behind the death of a young woman, in a rented quarters of CISF sub-inspector of Karipur airport, still remains unresolved, as police are yet to confirm the identity of woman.

According to police, the official, who is native of Uttar Pradesh was transferred to Kozhikode from Kochi one year ago and the woman was staying with the officer in the quarter for last many months. The officer went on leave on November 4 and he left for UP. On Monday evening, the official along his wife returned to his room in Karippur and found the woman hanging herself. said that the investigation team is yet to identify the deceased person. “We have recovered an Aadhaar card from the room. As per the card the woman isNisha Fathima
, 28, native of Uttar Pradesh. But, another identity proof recovered from the room suggests that she is Nisha from Jharkand. We are yet to trace the relatives of woman. The official is also not aware about the native place of the woman”, SI said adding that only detailed investigation can unravel the mystery behind the death. DYSP of Malappuram Jaleel Thotathil held a discussion regarding the case with SI of Karippur on Wednesday evening.It is learnt that the CISF official who went on leave on November 4, reached his native place in Uttar Pradesh on November 17.
