Kozhikode: Nilambur MLA P V Anvar, who broke ranks with the LDF, has said that he would not sit with the opposition in the assembly. Instead, he plans to write to the speaker, requesting a middle seat that is not part of either the ruling or opposition blocks.
"I would need a separate seat. I will submit a letter in this regard, and I believe they would be legally bound to provide one," Anvar said, adding that he is willing to sit on the floor of the assembly if necessary.
When asked about the CM's political secretary P Sasi sending him a legal notice, Anvar said he has not received the notice but is prepared to handle the matter both legally and politically.
Anvar added that he remained firm in the allegations he had levelled against Sasi.
Anvar expressed uncertainty about whether the
CPM had even opened the letter he submitted to the party containing allegations against Sasi. He added that if the party had opened it, party secretary M V Govindan would not have said that there was no substance to the complaint.
Anvar claimed to have the support of a prominent CPM functionary from Kannur and revealed that many former CPM MLAs and MPs have been communicating with him.
