Veteran actress Sandhya Roy beats Covid, to be discharged today

Kolkata: Much to the relief of her admirers, veteran actress Sandhya Roy has recovered from

Covid-19

. The 80-year-old actress, who had won the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Medinipur constituency, will be discharged today.

On May 8, she was detected with Covid-19. Roy had a history of fever and cough and was suffering from hypertension and diabetes. On Wednesday, Woodlands MD and CEO Rupali Basu said, “She is doing well and will be going home today.”
