Tanushree rally attacked in Hwh

Howrah: A campaign rally by actor Tanushree Chakraborty, who joined BJP earlier this month, was attacked at Shyampur, Howrah on Thursday.

It was alleged that Trinamool supporters hurled abuses at the procession while it was passing through Paltaberia area around 4pm. As BJP workers protested, TMC supporters later allegedly attacked the rally-goers, leaving around seven persons injured.

“I have lodged a complaint with the Shyampur police station,” Chakraborty said. TMC leaders denied the involvement of any party worker.
