“A woman is a woman, no matter whether she hails from UP, Rajasthan or Bengal. I want strict punishment for the culprits. The UP government must take action against the Hathras rapists irrespective of their political affiliation, if any,” the Hooghly MP said.

Locket said that the Yogi Adityanath government had already arrested the accused. “The Prime Minister has advised his government to form a committee for speedy delivery of justice,” she said.
