Rose Valley case: CBI notice to 9 IPS officers

Kolkata: The CBI, probing the

Rose Valley case

, has sent notices to nine IPS officers who were posted at the Bidhannagar Commissionerate when the scam broke out in 2013. The officers have been asked to appear at the agency’s CGO complex office after November 9.

According to sources, the list of IPS officers includes an official currently posted at Lalbazar. The officer, after receiving several complaints from cheated investors, had written a letter to Sebi. The market watchdog had taken cognizance of the complaints and barred the Rose Valley group from raising money from the market.

Notices were also sent to a few officers now posted at the CID. These officers were involved with the investigation against the Ponzi firm.

The CBI has also sent a letter to DGP Virendra, seeking the presence of an IPS officer who was at the CID in 2012.
