(30), originally a resident of Falta in South 24 Parganas, from the Nosakhali area on March 20. “The actor alleged that several ornaments worth around Rs 8 lakh were stolen from her house between March 15 and March 16. The ornaments included a a diamond-studded gold necklace, gold ear-pieces, studded with diamond, and six precious stone drops of different coloured sets,” said an investigating officer.As part of the investigation, a police team conducted a raid and arrested the accused. “In police custody, the accused was interrogated and cops took her to the residence of the actor. The accused brought out a show box that was kept in a secluded place inside the actor’s flat. All the stolen ornaments were recovered from the show box,” said DC (SED) Sudip Sarkar.
