CRPF man found dead
A 43-year-old CRPF jawan on election security duty died of a gunshot wound under mysterious circumstances in East Midnapore's Ramnagar on Friday morning, reports Suman Mandal. The deceased Birendra Singh was a resident of Haryana and belonged to the 131 Alpha Unit of CRPF.The incident occurred at around 5 am within the premises of the Digha Vidyabhavan High School, where a temporary security camp was established. Sources suggest that the jawan turned his service arm on himself, sustaining a fatal injury to his head. Preliminary police probe points towards alleged family dispute that led to the alleged suicide.
