KOLKATA: A day after SBI assistant general manager (mid corporate group) T K Das, along with a doctor and some others, was allegedly assaulted by a jewellery store staff following a ruckus over car parking, the residents' association of the apartment in which the official lives lodged a complaint against the store owners.
Debabrata Das, DC (south eastern division), said both parties have lodged complaints against each other and a probe is on.

The police are interrogating both the parties.
Local residents said they want the police to take stern action in the matter. "The Gol Park Krisnakunj Residents Welfare Association has lodged a complaint," said T K Das, adding that his car was badly damaged in the attack.
"The owner of Anjali Jewellers was so arrogant! She also spoke roughly with my wife," he said, adding that the police have not spoken to him on the matter so far. Local residents demanded that the spot where cars are lined up next to the jewellery store be made a no-parking zone.
On Saturday, trouble broke out after Das and a few other residents asked the store owners to shift some cars as they were blocking the road. Das was allegedly assaulted by the store staff and his car windscreen was smashed.
