The agency that specialises in budget tours, is making arrangements for half of the 300-strong Indian guests invited to Mittal''s daughter Vanisha''s wedding to London-based financer Amit Bhatia on June 22.<br /><br />Discovery won the bid amid strong competition from several others. The turnover from the 150 return tickets that the agency has booked on British Airways and Air France is pegged to cross Rs 50 lakh. The JetAir Group is handling the tickets for the remaining guests.<br /><br />The city agency is handling guests from all over – Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Kolkata. Some 40 guests including top industrialists are making the trip from Mittal''s home town Kolkata. Also on the guest list are young film director Farhan Akhtar, renowned architect Hafeez Contractor and his wife and a host of dancers from tinsel town. The city''s glitterati apart, Discovery is also handling the trip of master chef Munna Maharaj (alias Dipak Kumar Singh) and his 30-odd <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">karigars</span> from Kolkata. Munna Maharaj who left with his entourage on June 9, has been especially flown in for preparing the vegetarian dishes for the wedding ceremonies beginning from June 18.<br /><br />His platter full of Indian dishes would include the best of vegetarian Indian cuisine for the 1,200 guests who will be staying at the Intercontinental hotels in Paris.<br /><br />The wedding ceremony from June 18-23 will include the <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">sangeet</span> ceremony for which Javed Akhtar has scripted a special play. Bollywood stars are expected to brighten the events with their presence at a song and dance programme on Bollywood Nite.<br /><br />For guests, the highlight of the six-day programme will be a royal dinner at the Palace of Versailles – the former residence of Louis XIV.</div> </div>
