Belgharia youth submits report to consulate

Kolkata: Belgharia resident Sayan Ghosh, a 22-year-old from Deshapriyanagar's ‘Sonar Bangla' area who was stabbed multiple times by a group of Bangladeshi youths at Jurain in Dhaka during his week-long trip to Bangladesh, submitted a detailed report to the Deputy High Commission of Bangladesh (DHCB), Kolkata on Monday.
Ghosh reached the DHCB office on Circus Avenue around 2.30 pm on Monday and narrated his harrowing ordeal to the senior officials. "The officials assured me they would look into the matter and take necessary legal action immediately," Ghosh told TOI.
Ghosh also said he was worried about the fate of his Bangladeshi friend and his family, who continued to receive threats for giving shelter to him. "I also appealed to them to make an arrangement for my friend's safety," he said.
