ABVP’s statue demand at JU

Kolkata: ABVP members at JU on Tuesday wrote to the VC, demanding installation of "full body statues" of Aurobindo Ghosh and Vivekananda on the campus to instil "values of nationalism, spiritual consciousness among students and to counter anti-national activities and spread of Naxalism and Maoism on the campus".VC Chiranjib Bhattacharjee said, "Aurobindo Ghosh was our first principal. His statue must be there. We will hold discussions." tnn
