4 killed in Howrah accident

KOLKATA: Four persons were killed and one was injured after a truck rammed into a car on NH2 in Howrah on Friday night. The injured was rushed to Howrah General Hospital and his condition was stated to be serious.
The accident took place when the car drove onto NH2 from the Toll Free Road in Bally Nischinda area and a Baranagar-bound truck rammed into the car leaving four inside it dead and one injured.The deceased were identified as Sumon Dutta (55), Subrata Adhikary( 35), Dhiren Mistry (45) and Nitai Malakar (46), all residents of Baranagr in North 24-Parganas. Pallab Sharma (30) was critically injured and he is being treated at Howrah General Hospital.
"The five were drunk and they were going to Sumon's garage in Nischinda when the accident happened. All the five were into real estate business," an investigating officer said.
