Will take back all projects given to Adani if MVA forms govt in state: Uddhav
Kolhapur: Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday said projects given to industrialist Gautam Adani's firms under Mahayuti govt will be taken back if MVA formed govt in the state after the Nov 20 assembly election.
"Mahayuti has thrown Maharashtra at the feet of Adani and Gujarat. Mumbai has been given to Adani, besides various projects. Recently, I was in Kolhapur, and the people there said water from Radhanagari has been given to Adani for a project. They said quarries and schools in Chandrapur have also been given to Adani. If Mahayuti forms govt again, they will sell farmers' land to Adani too. If such ‘lootmar' people come to power again, who will you ask for justice? In the next three days, this govt will be gone. I assure you that if MVA forms govt, I will take back all the projects given to Adani and give them back to Maharashtra," Thackeray said while speaking at Patan in Satara district.
Thackeray was here to address a rally for Sena (UBT) candidate Harshad Kadam. The Patan constituency is seeing a three-cornered fight between Sena minister Shamburaj Desai, Sena (UBT)'s Kadam and independent candidate Satyajeet Patankar.
Thackeray, while taking a dig at Shiv Sena slogan, ‘Kelay Kam Bhari, Ata Pudchi Tayari,' (we have done good work, now prepare to do more good work), said, "Instead, the gaddars (traitors) should give a slogan, ‘Keli Aah Loot Bhari, Ata Pudchi Tayari,' (looted and preparing for the next loot)."
The Sena (UBT) chief further said injustice was done to his party openly, that too by the Election Commission of India, referring to the case involving the claims over the party after the split. "Chief Justice of India D Y Chandrachud, before retiring, gave a statement in public that he did not know what to do about the Ram Mandir case, and then he went to goddess Yamai's darshan. He said Yamai Devi enlightened him. If he had told this earlier to us, we would have also gone to Yamai before knocking on his doors. Why were you sitting there? Is this behaviour of yours not against Constitution?" Thackeray asked.
