Additional director general of police reviews law and order in Kolhapur range

Kolhapur: Nikhil Gupta, additional director general of police (law and order), was in Kolhapur on Wednesday and reviewed the police force in Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara, Pune Rural and Solapur Rural areas under Kolhapur Range.Superintendents of police of all five districts were present at the review meeting held at special inspector general of police Sunil Phulari's office.Addressing the meeting, ADGP Nikhil Gupta said: "Forensic vans that collect evidence should be used to the maximum extent to solve serious crimes so that cases can be solved quickly and the accused can be punished for their deeds. Use e-evidence while registering crimes; there is a low rate of e-evidence records in the districts. All police officers should strictly implement govt orders on time. Care should be taken to ensure that there are no loopholes in the implementation of new laws."Special IGP Sunil Phulari, Satara SP Tushar Doshi, and Kolhapur additional SP Dheeraj Kumar Bachchu were present in person for this meeting. SPs of Sangli, Solapur Rural, and Pune Rural attended the meeting virtually.
