7 criminals externed from Kolhapur for one year

KOLHAPUR: Seven on-record criminals associated with the infamous ‘Dum Maro Dum’ gang operating from Sadar Bazar of Kolhapur city have been externed for one year.
The criminals were involved in a series of crimes like extortion, threatening and assaulting among others. Local traders and residents had said they were fed up with the frequent gang clashes.
Nakul Raju Jadhav (23) is reportedly the leader of the gang. The other members have been identified as Devendra Kalu Jondhal e(19), Firoz alias Sajid Allabaksh Sheikh(23), Riyaj Anwar Sayyad (20), Adarsh Sanjay Gaikwad (19), Piyush Shankar Pawar (19) and Sourabh Kalu Koli (21).
The Shahupuri police station submitted a proposal to extern these criminals owing to their growing involvement in various criminal activities.
Superintendent of police Shailesh Balkawade set up an inquiry through a deputy police superintendent and the hearing was held before issuing an order.
According to the order, these gang members will now not be allowed to enter the district for a year.
