NDPP wins lone Nagaland LS seat
KOHIMA: Just months after its formation, the
NDPP won the byelection to the seat by a decisive margin of 1,73,746 votes. According to provisional figures, NDPP's Tokheho Yepthomi, who was the consensus candidate for the ruling People's Democratic Alliance (PDA) comprising NDPP and BJP, got 5,94,205 votes. NPF candidate C Apok Jamir secured 4,20,459 votes.
