Youth stabbed to death in Idukki

Idukki: A 26-year-old man was stabbed to death in Churulipathal near Kanjikuzhi, Idukki. The deceased has been identified as Rajan, son of Pappachan of Kallumalikayil. The incident took place around 10.30pm on Thursday at Rajan's residence. The attack was reportedly carried out by Rajan's cousin Anoop, who is also his neighbour. Police said some family dispute is believed to be the reason behind the murder. Following the incident, Kanjikuzhi police took Anoop into custody on Friday afternoon. He was produced before court and remanded. Meanwhile, Rajan's body was shifted to Idukki medical college hospital for postmortem examination after which it was handed over to family. While Rajan worked as a carpenter, Anoop works at a chicken centre in Kanjikuzhi.
