Two men arrested with MDMA

Kochi: Ernakulam rural police arrested two men with 1.3g of MDMA on Saturday.The arrested persons were identified as Jineesh Hariyappan, 30, of Kottayam and Aftab Firoz, 25, of Kozhikode. Hariyappan was a resident of North Paravur, while Firoz was staying on rent in Kombara.According to Aluva police, the accused planned to sell the drug to customers in and around Aluva. The drugs were hidden in a special compartment of a two-wheeler.The investigation team included inspector G P Manu Raj, SIs Maraya Nandakumar and Eldo Paul, ASI Varghese and CPOs Afsal, Mahinsha Abubakar, Muhammad Ameer and Siraj. They were presented in court and remanded in judicial custody.
