Two held in Pocso case

Kochi: Kannamaly police arrested two people in a Pocso case on Thursday. Saed Muhammed (32) of Thoppumpady was arrested for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl in 2019 and Sahil Sabu Varghese (22) of Alappuzha was arrested for pestering the same girl by sending vulgar messages. A team led by inspector Rajesh made the arrest.

Man held for robbing Dweep native: A Fort Kochi native was arrested for assaulting a man and robbing him of Rs 20,000 and his mobile phone. Sulfikkar Nasser of Fort Kochi was arrested for taking a Lakshadweep native to Fort Kochi on his scooter, assaulting him and looting him. The accused had promised him accommodation at an A/C room at Fort Kochi before taking him there, police said.tnn
