Two held for causing ruckus at hospital emergency unit

Kochi: Ernakulam rural police arrested two men for allegedly causing a ruckus at the emergency unit of a govt hospital in Puthenvelikkara. The arrested were Christin, 33, of Vadakkekara and Davis, 60, of Puthenvelikkara. They were produced before a court and remanded in judicial custody on Monday. On Friday, the accused, who were allegedly under the influence of alcohol, trespassed into the casualty ward and verbally abused the doctor as she told them to wait. The duo was booked under relevant sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Kerala Healthcare Service Persons and Healthcare Service Institutions (Prevention of Violence and Damage to Property) Act.
