KOCHI: In response to ongoing protests by daily passengers regarding train delays and a shortage of general coaches, Southern Railways has taken steps to address their concerns. Additional coaches will be added to eight trains operating in Kerala to ease the situation.
The schedule for adding these extra coaches is as follows:
1. Train No. 16304: Thiruvananthapuram Central – Ernakulam Junction Vanchinad Express - Starting from October 28
2. Train No. 16305: Ernakulam Junction – Kannur Intercity Express - Starting from October 29
3. Train No. 16308: Kannur – Alappuzha Executive Express - Starting from October 30
4. Train No. 16307: Alappuzha – Kannur Executive Express - Starting from October 30
5. Train No. 16306: Kannur – Ernakulam Junction Intercity Express - Starting from October 31
6. Train No. 16303: Ernakulam Junction – Thiruvananthapuram Central Vanchinad Express - Starting from November 1
7. Train No. 16302: Thiruvananthapuram Central – Shoranur Junction Venad Express - Starting from October 30
8. Train No. 16301: Shoranur Junction – Thiruvananthapuram Central Venad Express - Starting from October 30
