KOTTAYAM: Actor Shalu Menon who is in police custody in connection with the solar panel scam was taken by cops to her house in Changanassery to collect evidence on Tuesday.
Jewellery gifted by Biju Radhakrishnan, the prime accused in the case, was taken as evidence by police from the actor's newly constructed house in Perunna.
Based on the actor's statement, police found out the gold jewellery - including a bangle, three rings, two pairs of earrings and a gold coin - from her house.

A six-member police team, led by Thiruvananthapuram DCRB assistant commissioner Reji Jacob, also took details about the newly constructed house in Perunna and a new car that is said to have been gifted to her by Biju Radhakrishnan. Police team arrived around 11.30am. Shalu's mother, grandmother, relatives and some staff of her dance school were at the house when the danseuse arrived in a police jeep.
As the news spread of her arrival, people in large numbers thronged the premises of her house. The actor put on a brave face hiding her discomfiture.
Police team returned to Thiruvananthapuram with her around 1pm.
