KOCHI: A woman who married more than 11 men across the country and two of her gang members will be brought to Kochi from Noida for detailed interrogation on Tuesday. The Kochi police had arrested Megha Bharghav, her sister Prachi Bhargav and brother-in-law
Devendra Sharma following a complaint filed by a Kochi native Lenin Jithendar. The Kadavanthra police arrested the accused with the help of Noida police.
The police said Megha had married the complainant through a middleman and accepted gifts worth Rs 15 lakh and gold ornaments weighing about 25 sovereigns.
Chapel vandalized: A chapel at Thankalam near Kothamangalam was vandalized by a three-member ganglate on Sunday night.According to witness, the accused entered the chapel after breaking the the glass doors. A security guard in the area heard the sound and rushed to the spot. The guard has given a statement to the police that he saw three men leaving the spot on motorbikes. The offering box near the chapel is intact and, hence, the attack cannot be considered as an attempted theft, said the police.
Couple found dead: A couple hailing from Thiruvananthapuram and living at Binanipuram was found dead hanging in their house at Monday afternoon. The deceased have been identified as Mohammed Rabi and his wife Sojo.
