One more arrested in RSS worker murder case

MALAPPURAM: One more person has been arrested in connection with the murder of

RSS worker Bibin

at Tirur.

The arrested was

Muhammed Ashraf

, 49, a native of

Maravancheri in Tirur

. According to police, Ashraf was arrested on the charge on helping the members of the gang which conspired to kill Bibin.

Faisal murder case

in Kodinhi, was murdered early morning on August 24. Police have already confirmed that the attack on Bibin was in retaliation to the Faisal murder.

Earlier the special investigation team of police which is probing the murder case arrested six persons including a woman leader of social democratic party of India (SDPI) in connection with the murder case. The other accused who have been arrested in connection with the case, were Shahida Latheef, 35, Muhammed Hassan, 32, native of Kokkur, Sabinur, 39, native of Alathiyur , Sidheeq, 25, from Palapetti near Ponnani, Thufail, 33, and Mohammed Anwar, 39, who are also SDPI workers.
