Man fatally knocked down by bicycle

Idukki: A 48-year-old from Panniyarkutty near Vellathooval in Idukki died on Monday after he was knocked down by a bicycle ridden by children.The deceased has been identified as Sabu M. He was walking along the road when the accident occurred around 4pm. Sabu, who sustained severe head injuries, was rushed to the Adimali Taluk Hospital and was later shifted to a private hospital in Thodupuzha, but his life could not be saved.Vellathooval police have initiated further proceedings. The post-mortem was conducted at the district hospital in Karikode, Thodupuzha, and the mortal remains were laid to rest at his residence.
