Kerala election 2021 updates: LDF, rival UDF upbeat about forming govt

Kerala went to the polls on Tuesday to elect its 15th legislative assembly, registering a turnout of 74.2% that fell 2.8% short of the last assembly elections in 2016 (77.35%), which election commission sources attributed to the Covid-19 situation. The southern districts – epicentre of the Sabarimala agitation and its emotional aftermath – reported a decline in voting percentage, leaving political parties and pundits guessing over its impact in the election. Guideline for voters

The voters can present their electronic photo identity card or any other identification documents approved by the election commission – Aadhaar card, MNREGA job card, passbooks with photograph issued by banks or post office, health insurance smart card issued under scheme of ministry of labour, driving licence or PAN card.
