Kerala cops save boy from drowning

police has saved the life of a 12-year-old boy Mohammed Irfan, a native of Kuthirapanthy in Alappuzha municipality from drowning.

temple on Saturday evening when the cops found a group of boys screaming for help near the temple pond. “Soon we reached the spot and the water in the pond was standstill. Soon we saw bubbles over the surface of water around five metre away from ‘kadavu’(steps on the side of the pond) of the pond and we jumped into the water. We found Mohammed Irfan in eight feet deep water and took him out. But we could not feel his pulse and breath. He was in an unconscious state. So we applied cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR),” he said.

After that he was taken to Alappuzha General Hospital by the police. He was then shifted to Alappuzha Medical College Hospital. Doctors of the MCH said had his rescue been delayed, his life could not have been saved.

Apart from Dwijesh, senior civil police officer R Mohankumar, civil police officers Robinson, Binukumar and Manikandan, also played an active role in saving the life of Mohammed. Kerala police also made posted on their official Facebook page on Sunday appreciating the bravery of these cops.
