Goonda taken into custody

KOCHI: Ernakulam North police took Selvan alias Varachoor Selvan, who allegedly supplied explosives to Sam Lolan, who threw country-made bombs at an apartment in Kaloor last year.
Selvan, who was lodged in Madurai Central Prison under the Goonda Act, was taken into custody by the police after he was produced before a magistrate court here. Police said that Selvan is accused in four murder cases.
According to police, bombs were thrown at the apartment, where an accomplice of notorious goon Bhai Nazeer was staying, by Lolan and Sajith K, on behalf of Nazeer’s rival Maradu Aneesh.
