ED summons Sabari tanthri, ex-TDB chief

Kochi: Enforcement directorate (ED) directed Sabarimala tanthri Kandararu Rajeevaru and former Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) president N Vasu to appear for questioning in the Sabarimala gold heist case. Sources said that both were likely to be questioned in March. The special investigation team probing the case arrested Rajeevaru on Jan 9. He was granted bail in the case on Wednesday. ED earlier questioned others involved in the case, including Murari Babu, former administrative officer of TDB and former TDB secretary Jayasree. ED earlier conducted search operations at 21 locations across Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka in connection with the probe into the misappropriation of gold and other temple assets relating to Sabarimala temple.
