Collector sets deadline for canal cleaning

Kochi: District collector G Priyanka directed officials to complete ongoing cleaning works under Operation Breakthrough (OBT) within the stipulated timeline to prevent waterlogging in city. The decision was taken at a review meeting held with various govt departments.A special cleaning calendar has been prepared for desilting canals and drains, with works that began on April 1 scheduled for completion by May 15.
