Annual plans of local bodies approved in Ekm

Kochi: Approval was granted for 2026-27 annual plans of all local self-govt institutions in the district. The approval process for the 111 local institutions in the district was completed with the approval of the annual plans of Kochi corporation during an ad hoc committee meeting chaired by K G Radhakrishnan, chairman of district planning committee and president of district panchayat.A total of 15,376 projects, amounting to Rs 1,594 crore, were approved for various local institutions, including corporation, district panchayats, 82 grama panchayats, 14 block panchayats and 13 municipalities. This included Rs 170 crore for the production sector, Rs 931 crore for the service sector and Rs 492 crore for the infrastructure sector. The meeting congratulated all institutions that completed the plan approval process on time.
