Youth drowns near Ganga barrage

KANPUR: A 19-year-old youth, a student of BSc drowned near the Ganga barrage here on Monday under the Kohna police station. The body was fished out and taken to the LLR hospital.
Police said Gaurav Verma, son of Satya Prakash Verma, a resident of Rana Pratap Nagar, drowned when he was playing in water. He had informed his family members that he was going to Badkhandeshwar Temple but instead went to the Ganga barrage to take a dip.
