Woman threatened by uncle, land mafia

Kanpur: A woman faced threats and intimidation from her uncle and cousin and a land mafia who were recently released from jail in a land fraud case. The victim subsequently lodged a formal complaint at the Kalyanpur police station against these people. Priyanka Patel, who resides in Bairi village in Kalyanpur, said that following her father Sunil Patel's demise, her uncle Arvind Kumar collaborated with alleged land mafia to unlawfully take possession of her property. Based on her initial complaint, police filed a case and arrested the accused. She alleged that on June 17, 2024, after their release from prison, Arvind and his son Rishabh issued threats demanding her to withdraw the case and chased her with a knife with lethal intent.
