Woman robbed a la Shahenshah

KANPUR: An elderly woman was tricked and deprived of her gold jewellery a la Big B starrer Shahenshah by two miscreants riding a motorcycle. The duo asked her to remove ornaments as criminals on prowl may rob her. The incident took place in busy Swaroop Nagar area on Saturday afternoon.
Victim Vipin Singhof Navsheeldham, told police that two men approached her and said: "Amma don't wear gold as criminals are on prowl and they may rob you.As soon as I remove my ornaments, they wrapped it in a paper and kept it in a bag. The two then asked me to pick the packet from the bag and sped away." When the woman opened the packet, she noticed that her ornaments have been replaced by artificial jewellery, the police added.
IO Kamal Yadav said that the tricksters replaced the original jewellery with artificial one. A case has been registered with Swaroop Nagar.
In Shahenshah, Meenakshi Sheshadri and her gang tried to hoodwink Parsi Baba (Amitabh) in the same manner. tnn
