Visitors’ Gallery of Green Park enriched with bats signed by cricket team captains

Kanpur: Green Park Visitors’ gallery on Tuesday enriched with four unique collections in the form of bats signed by India, New Zealand and Australian cricket team captains for four different series.The articles were presented by Mayank Bajpai, son of late Jyoti Bajpai who was the joint secretary of BCCI. He presented four signed bats to divisional commissioner Raj Shekhar in a simple function. The commissioner thanked him for his valuable contribution and made an appeal to cricket fans that if they have any article for the visitors’ gallery then come forward and enrich it.Mayank, who had earlier given several articles, witnessed them in the gallery and said, “This is the right place for the articles. They are now secured and everyone can now see them".The commissioner was informed that from February 19 to April 24, around 5000 visitors had purchased tickets to visit the gallery. Apart from them, as many as 4000 people and school children had made promotional visits.On this occasion the commissioner also inaugurated the National Cricket Academy's under-19 camp in which 25 young cricketers will be coached and trained by the staff of 8 experts. The 25 players belong to 18 states.
