Two youths drown in Ganga

KANPUR: Two youths drowned in Ganga near Chapparghat under the limits of Kalyanpur police circle here on Sunday.
Police said that a group of six youths identified as Satish Mishra, his cousin Abhishek Tiwari, his neighbours Nikhil Pandey, Saurabh Mishra, Satyam Tiwari, Kunal and Kamal from Sharda nagar area in Kalyanpur had gone for outing in Bithoor on Sunday morning.Abhishek and Saurabh went in water at Chapparghat when they sipped into the river.
Rohit and Satyam tried to rescue them but they also strated drowning. Nikhil and Kunal, standing at the banks, raised alarm following which Saurabh and Abhishek were rescued by local divers and body of Satyam and Satish were fished out later.
