Two Teachers Arrested For Sexual Assault: Charges fabricated, allege students, demand release

Kanpur: Several students staged demonstration in Kakadev Coaching Mandi area in support for jailed coaching teachers Sahil Siddiqui (biology) and Vikas Porwal (chemistry). The teachers were imprisoned for allegedly detaining, sexually assaulting, and intimidating a NEET student from Fatehpur.
The students said that the rape allegations against their teachers were fabricated. They raised slogans demanding justice and immediate release of both the teachers. Police had to intervene after which the protesters dispersed.
Kakadev inspector Manoj Singh Bhadauria reached the spot and suggested the students to submit their grievances through official channels rather than staging protests. ADCP Central Mahesh Kumar emphasised the severity of accusations against both teachers and warned of consequences for anyone attempting to interfere with the case or protect the accused through conspiracy. He clarified that whilst students could express their views about the accused teachers through proper channels, any street demonstrations would face legal consequences.
