KANPUR: Hundreds of aspirants again came out on roads in Kakadeo on Thursday morning, demanding cancellation of the Combined Pre-Medical Test (CPMT-2011) being conducted by Bundelkhand University in Jhansi.
The students were annoyed with the postal department and held it responsible for not dispatching the CPMT forms timely and at right address. Many aspirants asked that they had sent the forms through speed post before the last date of depositing (April 11) to the Bundelkhand University, then why the forms reached the university late.
The students were angry that their career was at stake.

Several students voiced concern that if they will not get a chance to appear in CPMT exam this year, their dream of becoming a doctor will be shattered.
The aspirants aspirants had fought a pitched battle with the cops on Wednesday. There were reports of a few clashes on Thursday also and the students started throwing stones. Efforts were made by the district officials and teachers of various coaching institutes to pacify the students.
The students said the prevailing corruption in the society and the `chalta hai' mindset of the officials has made a mockery of their future. The students were carrying placards in their hands.
Raising slogans against the administration, postal department and Bundelkhand University, the students walked through the various lanes of Kakadeo area. More and more students joined the agitation. In the form of a large procession, the students reached Gumti No 9 crossing and vowed to fight till they get a solution to the problem.
Sensing the gravity of the situation and taking lesson from the Wednesday's incident, when students had resorted to heavy brick-batting, the district administration had deployed PAC and police personnel to counter the student rage.
Senior police and district officials kept an eye on the situation and said that things are under control.
