KANPUR: The weather remained hot and humid on the fifth consecutive day on Wednesday.
The maximum temperature recorded for the day was 32 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was 32.7 degrees.
Also, a remarkable rise was observed in the humidity level.
The humidity recorded in the morning hours was 90%, which declined to 62% in the afternoon hours due to clear and sunny sky.
The weather scientists of Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology said the weather conditions will remain the same for this entire week and the locals will not get any respite from the scorching heat.
"The temperature will rise by 2-3 degrees more in the days to come. The humidity may also increase a bit," said C B Singh, a meteorologist at the CSA varsity.
He added that if the weather conditions remain same for some more days, the chances of witnessing heavy monsoonal rainfall again in this season will not be possible.
