Lawyers abstain from judicial work

KANPUR: The lawyers abstained from judicial work to condole the death of their colleague Vinay Kumar Singh who committed suicide. The decision in this regard was taken by Kanpur Bar Association and Lawyers Association.
Vinay Kumar Singh had committed suicide on Wednesday when he felt that he could not fight against the corrupt system.
Some lawyers burnt an effigy to lodge protest and demanded to register a case of provocation for committing suicide against the officials.
The KBA has sent a memorandum to the governor and demanded action against corrupt officials and financial assistance to the widow of Singh.
