IOB recruits 5 CSA varsity students

Under the ongoing campus placement drive at Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, five students were declared selected by the Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) for the post of assistant rural development officers.

KANPUR: Under the ongoing campus placement drive at Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, five students were declared selected by the Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) for the post of assistant rural development officers.
Naushad Khan, media incharge of the university, said that Aishawary Gupta (MSc student at department of crop physiology), Arendra Singh (MSc, department of plant pathology), Ashish Mishra (BSc agriculture honours), Bhupendra Singh (MSc agriculture, department of agronomy) and Rajesh Kumar Meena (BSc agriculture honours) were selected by the bank.

He further said that the interviews of the selected students were held on April 27 and 28 in Lucknow. "The students are now required to submit their provisional degrees or the degree certificates to the bank by July 15," he said.
C L Maurya, placement incharge at the varsity, said that there are more than half-a-dozen national and multinational companies are about to visit the campus for recruiting students.
He said that Monsanto Seeds, Syndicate Bank, Indian Farm Forestry Development Co-operative Limited, Krishak Bharti Co-operative Limited, Evlon and Harvel Agva Limited are some of the companies that are yet to come to the campus.
He said that these companies have given their consent for conducting a recruitment drive soon. Meanwhile, 35 students of CSA varsity were hired by the Canara Bank on June 14.
Naushad Khan said that out of 35 students, 28 will be joining Canara Bank as rural development officers and the rest would be joining as agriculture extension officers.
Four more students have been selected by an NGO for the post of management executives.
