IITian cracks CAT in first attempt

Siddhartha Sharma, a final year BTech student of IIT-K had cracked CAT-2012.He has scored 100 percentile and cleared the test in the first attempt.
KANPUR: Siddhartha Sharma, a final year BTech student of IIT-K had cracked CAT-2012. He has scored 100 percentile and cleared the test in the first attempt.A native of Meerut, Siddhartha wishes to study in any Indian Institute of Management (IIM), preferably Ahmedabad. Attributing his success to hard work, the youngster said he used to study mainly during the weekends for CAT. "During the weekdays, I used to study for 2-3 hours. I had to strike a balance between studying for CAT and my BTech course. But as I was regular with my studies, I could manage to crack CAT," he said. He said that his friends kept on motivating.Siddhartha said that regular practice of the question sets is required for cracking CAT. He prepared for eight months and managed to clear it."Though I wanted to be an engineer but after coming to IIT-K and four years of stay on the campus, my mindset was changed. I now want to go into the finance field and for that securing an MBA degree is must. I hope to get call from top IIM of the country and after clearing the interview round.I will be taking admission for pursuing the MBA course," he said.Siddhartha said: "I had done well in the exam and was hopeful of clearing it but had never expected to securing 100 percentile."
