After Meerut murder, another husband gets wife married to her lover in UP

KANPUR: Following recent cases in Meerut and Auraiya wherein wives conspired with their lovers to kill their husbands, a contrasting incident came to light from Farrukhabad where a husband arranged his wife's marriage with her lover. In 2023, Bhanwar Singh (28) from Kachiyan village in Kasganj district married Vaishnavi (24) from Sikandarpur Khas village within the Kampil police station limits. Their relationship was troubled due to Vaishnavi's frequent visits to her parents' house. Despite Bhanwar Singh's repeated appeals for her return, she refused. Bhanwar Singh then approached her family to address the situation. During the family discussions, Vaishnavi revealed her relationship with Manoj of the same village. Bhanwar Singh then made the unconventional decision to arrange his wife's marriage to her lover. On Tuesday, the couple formalised their union by exchanging garlands in the tehsil office. Bhanwar Singh attended the ceremony along with other family members and expressed his contentment with the arrangement. After the ceremony, Vaishnavi left happily with Manoj to start their life together.Bhanwar Singh confirmed the end of his previous marriage. He said, "I was married to Vaishnavi two years ago, but she left me. Now she has remarried." Vaishnavi's mother said, "My daughter was married, but she was not happy there. Today, we have arranged her second marriage for her happiness." Vaishnavi was happy with her remarriage and said, "I was married two years ago but we didn't want to stay together."
